We love a good BBC Drama and this BBC America one is exceptional.

We truly, (truly!) hate when people recommend television and then proceed to tell us anything / everything about the story-line / plot. Everyone seems to feel it’s their place to help you interpret the story the way they did! What’s with them?! Can’t they allow you to enjoy it and trust you can understand it without their intervention?! The psychology behind that one . . . hmmmmmmmm.

We’ve had whole series ruined by well-meaning people telling us critical plot twists / turns while re-inforcing - “Oh no, I won’t tell you the whole story!”.

What an exciting weekend we've had, building Billy's and making our Hallway into a warm, inviting, reception area.

Ikea's Billy (bookcase) series has been going since 1979 and they've sold in their millions. Here's how we organised our Hallway and you can do yours too.

This weekend we (by which I mean, mostly Barry) built 2 Ikea Billy's for our Hallway to provide shoe storage AND another one of those 'nooks' which makes our home feel like a home. I swear, the more nooks we create, the larger the rooms seem.

Home Overhaul Weekend

I hope you all had great weekends. Ours was certainly action packed and not quite the relaxing one we had planned.

Saturday morning started early with our friendly Tiler arriving to finish the kitchen with these beautiful cream Metro tiles. We decided the bare wall was not great for containing the inevitable grease splashes or general kitchen wear and tear. These are a fantastic solution and were fitted so quickly and perfectly.

Sunday began as all Sunday's should. With an epic breakfast. Jango woke up and decided he needed a nap, claiming our new footstool as his own. He was way too sweet to move, so I guess this is his now. And we were off to meet our brand new Nephew, Flynn. Only 9 days old. We were super excited.
